Trattoria da Luigi in Free municipal consortium of Ragusa

"OK place, but reviews are better than experience we have got here. Visually it is not really esthetic (but ok, can forget about it in Italy). Service from the host - eh.. it's just exist. I was going for a great food but it was just ok. Actually, I was going to eat sicilian chicken cutlet in pistachio which I saw in the menu and on photo - but it's gone (there is no in menu anymore - everything else is ok, but not great). Sorry :("

"Trattoria da Luigi is exceptional!! As you can see, we tried many dishes in only three days while we were staying in Ragusa. We didn’t dare go to any other restaurant because we loved it so much. You must get the tomato and mozzarella appetizer, they were the most delicious freshest sweetest tomatoes we’ve ever had. And you must also get the Ravioli with butter, sage and lemon, it was incredibly delicious. We recommend all the dishes we tried simply because you can tell they’re made with high quality fresh ingredients, and so much love from the chef. Besides the food, the restaurant just gives off warm loving vibes"

"We asked our hotel for an authentic Sicilian dinner and they made us reservations here. Told us the dress was casual. It is a cute little restaurant with AMAZING FOOD. Did not feel rushed at all. It actually felt as if we were at an old friends house having dinner with the host checking on us periodically. I can say enough about Trattoria da Luigi. The pasta was simple yet we are still talking about how good it was the next day. The lady was very lovely, she gave us 2 deserts because we stacked the plates for her. I tried to pay for them and she insisted they were a gift/surprise. If you are in Ragusa, be sure to make this a destination for dinner for at least one night if not all of them ."
